Emmanuel Kwamena Annang
Young and vibrant upcoming rapper, Emmanuel Kwamena Annang aka Yvng Mena says he draws inspiration from Wanlov The Kubolor, especially for his uniqueness in the music industry.
According to him, Wanlov The Kubolor, is upfront in his expressions and that is something he sees in himself. Not only does Kwamena Annang draw inspiration from Wanlov The Kubolor but also looks up to artistes like Wizkid and Kanye West.
Speaking exclusively to Kasapa News, Kwamena Annang said “I have a certain taste for art that guides me in getting creative. Documenting my experience, each piece at a time and I do this through art”.
He further indicated that he has respect for creativity, adding that with creativity, one can come out with a song, picture, painting etc in just five minutes.
Kwamena Annang stated emphatically that he tries as much as possible to stay away from comparison but rather appreciates art and anyone getting creative.
To him, he sees a lot of growth and progress in his music career in five years and encouraged the youth in particular not to give up on their dreams.
He has performed at events such as the Chalewote Festival, YOYO Tinz, FOKN Party, ABAJO amongst others.
He released an EP 57MENA on 5th July 2017 and is looking forward to releasing another this year.
