Award winning sports presenter, Patrick Osei Agyemang, popularly known as Countryman Songo, has revealed that he has the habit of eating eight to ten boiled eggs daily.
According to him, he enjoys eggs, which are known to be a very good source of inexpensive, high-quality protein, vitamin B2 and selenium, with only hot pepper.
Eggs are also known to contain Vitamin D, B6, B12 and minerals such as zinc, iron and copper which is good for the human body.
Research conducted by Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Boston USA shows that one egg yolk has 200 mg of cholesterol, making it one of the richest source of dietary cholesterol.
However, excessive eating of eggs has been proven to have some health implications. Medical doctors have warned that the excessive consumption of eggs may lead to heart diseases, diabetes and cancer and have recommended that people should not eat more than three eggs a day.
But speaking on #MusikBox on Hitz FM with Andy Dosty, the host of ‘Fire for Fire’ on Adom TV and Asempa FM explained he eats the eggs daily because they don’t make him ‘feel heavy’ in the morning.
“I feel that I will be heavy when presenting my show ‘Fire for Fire’ so I prefer to be a bit light. Even as we speak, I have fired some eggs already,” the vociferous presenter disclosed.
He continued that, eating hot pepper toughens him mentally. Countryman Songo added that the pepper gives him the drive to work hard.
“I eat fire. You know pepper is fire and I like everything hot,” he opined.
