I enjoyed the hype from people believing I was dating Delay – Amerado

Ghanaian rapper Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, known by his stage name Amerado, has revealed that he enjoyed the excitement and buzz surrounding rumours of his alleged romantic relationship with Deloris Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Delay.

It will be recalled that in 2023, speculation about their relationship gained momentum on social media and various entertainment platforms, with fans eagerly discussing the possibility of the two being an item.

Speaking in a recent interview with Roselyn Felli on the Prime Morning Show, the award-winning rapper shared his thoughts on the matter, stating that he enjoyed the hype from people who believed—and still believe he was dating Delay.

Despite the speculation, Amerado clarified that there was no romantic involvement between him and Delay.

He emphasized that their interactions were purely professional and friendly, but the public's reaction to their chemistry was something he found amusing and beneficial to his career.

The artiste also disclosed that he had a partner at the time of the speculation who felt quite bad about the rumours but later came to terms with the fact that such unfortunate incidents are part of his job.
