Reggae artiste and media personality Blakk Rasta has criticised Archbishop Salifu Amoako over claims made in a viral video.

In an old video that recently resurfaced online, Salifu Amoako bragged about driving without a driver's license or number plate, asserting that no police officer could arrest him without risking their job.

He claimed he could call the officers' superiors to have them dismissed if they attempted to arrest him.

These statements come in the wake of the Archbishop’s son allegedly ramming his vehicle into another car, killing about two people in the process.

Sharing his thoughts on the ongoing developments, Blakk Rasta has strongly criticised the man of God for his previous statements captured in the resurfaced video.

“Salifu Amoako doesn't have any education. He doesn’t have a classmate… He has never sat in a classroom. He learned everything on the street.

“But there's natural wisdom outside formal education. I expected that a man of God would have that,” he said.

He argued that boasting about being above the law does not make one a "Superman," stating, “If you claim that no policeman can stop you from breaking the law, it doesn’t make you a Superman. It only means you live in a lawless country and that you are lawless yourself. If I were part of that congregation, I would walk out.”

Blakk Rasta also criticised the idea promoted by some religious leaders that wealth can be attained solely through prayer without hard work.

He emphasised that while prayer is important, it cannot replace the value of diligent work.

“These are the people who preach that God will make you rich without working. Just get up and pray. What prayer can do for you, work can never do for you.

“These are the people who claim that anointing oil on your head is enough to make you rich without you going out to work. My brother, this is terrible,” he said.

In a statement released on October 14, 2024, the police confirmed that the incident resulted in the deaths of two people and left three others, including the drivers of the Jaguar and Acura vehicles, with severe injuries.
