Ghanaian artiste, Sarkodie has revealed his early experiences in Nigeria were worse compared to that of Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
He added that he “nearly” decided not to go to the country again following the terrible experiences he had.
On August 24, 2018, Stonebwoy and Stonebwoy experienced what is said to be the proverbial attitude of the Nigerian music fan towards non-Nigerian artistes.
The audience at a concert to launch the office of Zylofon Media and MenzGold in the country looked on unconcerned during performances by the Zylofon Music artistes.
“For my first 2, 3 times, I nearly said I will not go to Nigeria again. They are like that, even what you guys saw (during the official launch of Menzgold in Nigeria) was good,” explained Sarkodie during an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM Monday morning.
“If your song is played once, it doesn’t mean the people will know it, but if it’s been rotated, that’s when the people will know it so they don’t do that, in their clubs, on the TV and radio.”
