One of the most sought after female Masters of Ceremonies in Ghana at the moment is Mrs. Patience Quao popularly known as MC Too Cute.
MC Too Cute in an interview with Ghanaweb on 'People & Places' has revealed that she had no formal training to be an MC; she describes her unique talent as a gift from God.
Narrating how it all started, as a fashion designer, she volunteered to be the MC of the naming ceremony of a friend’s baby when she realised there was no MC at the programme.
“At the event, I realized there was no MC so it was a bit boring. I asked her if I could be the MC since I have seen one of my aunties MC a number of events. She agreed and with the few tips I had, I did it,” Too Cute said.
Unknown to her, many people at the outdooring enjoyed her style and in a few days, one of the people present at the event asked her to be the MC at a traditional marriage.
She went “and delivered to the glory of God. From then people started inviting me to emcee their events, especially traditional marriages.”
MC Too Cute, however, mentioned that a clear distinction between someone who has been trained as an MC and someone who is gifted as an MC is the flow of the delivery in his/her message at an event.
