Prophet Prince Osei and Empress Gifty
Ghanaian preacher and head pastor of Blessed Generation Chapel International (BGCI), Prophet Prince Osei, has shared how his ex-wife Empress Gifty’s ‘Aseda,’ nearly flopped until he took it to the mountains.
In an interview on Aluta FM on December 1, 2025, the preacher revealed that he acted as the executive producer for the 2014 hit song.
However, when the song was released, he said it received no airplay for six months.
“Nobody played the song. I called radio stations and presenters; they were giving me stories. People were not even buying the CDs,” he said.

The delay, he added, frustrated Empress Gifty, and because he had encouraged her to pursue music, he felt responsible.
“She was frustrated because we expected the song to be a hit. I had to console her. I felt responsible because I convinced her to do music.
“So I took initiative, and together with my boys, we took CDs of the song to the mountains and prayed for 3 months continuously,” he said.
According to him, in the third month after prayers, "the song became a nationwide hit."
