Veteran Ghanaian actress of Cantata fame, Julie Juu, has described her migration from Ghana to the United Kingdom (UK) as one of the best decisions she has ever made.
The Cantata star, who has been a resident immigrant of the UK for more than a decade, explained that although she has no regrets about relocating overseas, she did not intend to stay there for long.
In an exclusive interview with Zionfelix, Julie Juu explained that she traveled to the UK to visit her children as compensation for her failure to attend their graduation ceremonies.
She added that during that same period, she was grieving the sudden demise of her husband and it seemed she had nothing to come back to in Ghana.
“After my husband, Nana Bosomprah, passed away, I felt incredibly lonely and sought solace in my children’s company. You know it is not easy to lose your husband suddenly. I was so happy being with them that I decided to stay,” she said in a report on 3news.com.
She added, “I have not regretted it at all. I believe if I were living in Ghana, by now I would have been weak and frail with a wrinkled body. At the moment, even if I stopped working, my children would take care of me.”
Comparing living conditions in Ghana and the UK, Julie Juu mentioned that life in Ghana cannot be compared to life overseas. She says she is living a very comfortable life free from difficulties.
