Vicky Zugah is one of the top actresses rocking the movie industry in Ghana. She has been around for a while and she is considered to be one of the most daring in the industry.
She is also seen as a controversial figure in the industry. One of the popular controversial stories about her surfaced few years back when she was reported to have said that she can act nude in a movie.
Born and raised in Accra, Vicky started acting about 8 years ago when she was recommended to a director. She has about 48 movies to her credit so far and still counting.
In this interview, she spoke on her career, her latest movie and also touched on why she is considered to be a controversial actress.

Tell us what you have been doing lately?
Lately I have been doing more of personal stuffs, like working on my image; working toward the launch of my foundation and beauty parlor. I have been very selective because I want my come back to be very remarkable. I am aware that my fans have missed me and I miss them too.
Why did you decide to shoot a movie with the popular HIV positive lady on her true story?
Because I was touched by the story when I got the script. Secondly, I wanted to help in the campaign against traumautisation and also to support a sister.
What role did you play in the movie?
I played a supporting role and hope I gave it my all. At a point I got very emotional but I leave the rest for the viewers to rate.
You are considered to be a controversial figure in the industry, what's your take on this?
I think I'm considered controversial because I know my value. I know my worth and I don't accept anything less of my standard. Including the fact I’m not a pretender.
One of your controversial stories was when you said some years back that you can act nude, if the fee is tempting? Do you still have such confidence?
Point of correction: I didn't say I can act nude if the fee is tempting, what I said was that I wouldn't mind acting nude because when I choose to act, I willing do anything to tell a good story. And yes, I still have the confidence to act nude if it becomes necessary.
Tell us more about yourself…your background and all that
I come from a family of 6, I have got three siblings; both parents are from the Volta region of Ghana. I was born and raised in Accra. I attended Excel School of Cosmetology and Toronto Pictures Film & TV Academy.

I started acting about 8 years ago when I was recommended to a director. I have about 48 movies to my credit and still counting. Among them are ‘Keeping the promise’, ‘Twixted’, ‘The Bible’, ‘My Dearest Princess’, ‘Girls Connection’, ‘Stand by me’, ‘Agatha’, ‘Pretty Queen’, etc. I have acted along Stella Damascus, Zack Orji, Muna Obikwe, Stephanie Okereke, Eucharia Anunobi, Peter Bruno, Jackie Appiah, Majid Michel, late Enebeli Elebua, Ramsey Nouah, Desmond Elliot, Yvonne Nelson, to mention but a few. I have played all kind of roles except that of an identical twin.
