Fast-rising Ghanaian musician Fameye has revealed that a penny from his recording contract with OGB Records has not been given to him.
The “Noting I Get” hitmaker in 2018 sealed a 5-year recording deal with OGB Records – a label owned by musician Ogidi Brown.
The deal, which is worth GHC250,000 (estimated USD 50,000), was purported to cover his management and all music related expenditures to be incurred during the period.
But the singer says he has not even received a penny from the deal – even though the label has given him his breakthrough song, plus music videos.
“I was supposed to be given a portion of the recording contract, but I haven’t received a penny from it,” he said on Best Entertainment show on Okay FM. “I would be a liar if I claim to have received a penny.”
