US-based Ghanaian Archbishop, Adonten Boateng has expressed his admiration for Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale, despite his controversial reputation.
He explained that Shatta is one of his favorite musicians due to his significant contributions to the music industry, which have helped put Ghana on the international map.
Archbishop Adonten Boateng made these statements while speaking on Shatta’s temperaments, particularly his wild and feisty nature.
“I listen to his songs and pray for him. I once watched an interview where he spoke about his mother’s neglect and how he hustled on the streets of Circle.
"When he speaks loudly and insults others, it comes from a place of pain. He is not Satan or a madman, as some may think,” he said during an interview with Fiifi Pratt on Kingdom FM.
Shatta’s controversial statements, often containing insults and vulgar words directed at prominent figures, have consistently drawn criticism from various industry players and segments of the public in recent times.
