Ghanaian rapper Darlington Agyekum, popularly known as Dr. Cryme, has stated that he will not accept anything less than $1 million if a political party wants him to compose a song for the forthcoming elections.
In an interview on ATUU with Abieku Santana, the rapper stated that he believes he is worth more than a million dollars if any political party is seekiing his songwriting talents.
He emphasised that he values his integrity over financial gain, stating, "I always want to be a Ghanaian, and that means parties will come and go, but I will still be a Ghanaian."
“I am worth more than a million dollars. If I was the first person to bring Samsung to Ghana through ambassadorial deals, then $1 million is too low for me,” he explained.
The "Wo Be Kume Afere" hitmaker further noted that while he would consider negotiations with any political party for collaboration, his loyalty remains with the people of Ghana.
“If I were to do a song and it involved negotiations, you’d see the figures with plenty of zeros. But until then, I just want to be Ghanaian,” he added.
