I'll never accept sponsorship from any alcohol brand - Joe Mettle

Award-winning Ghanaian gospel musician, Joe Mettle, has declared his stance on accepting sponsorships from alcohol brands.

During an interview on Hitz FM, Joe Mettle emphasised that he will refuse any sponsorship from any alcohol brand, especially when they offer support for his events.

He explained that he would only collaborate with brands that align with his values.

"It is a no for me. Aside from faith, you can only work with brands that complement what you do,” he explained.

He also pointed out that company sponsorship typically comes with expectations that may go against his faith.

"A company's sponsorship is mostly not free since, no matter what, you will be required to pay it someday since you will be invited on their stage," he said.

When asked about accepting sponsorship from brands that prefer not to be publicly acknowledged, Joe Mettle responded, "With brands that give sponsorship and do not want to be mentioned, that is the silent sponsors, because silence is silent, I don't know what I will do about that now though."
