Dancehall King, Shatta Wale, has said he is a good Christian who reads his Bible and pays his tithe.
The ‘Chop Kiss’ hit maker told Bola Ray on Starr Chat that though he has not been regular at church as a result of his busy schedule, he makes a conscious effort to pray and read the Bible.
“I am a very good Christian and I fellowship at Action Faith Ministries headed by Archbishop Duncan Williams… It’s been long since I visited church because of my busy schedule so my wife goes and pays my tithe …the last time I was in church was 31st December but it’s no surprise to God so far as we communicate, I have his number and we whatsapp and communicate a lot and I read my Bible everyday,” he said.
Asked by Bola Ray what his favourite Bible quotation was, Shatta Wale quoted Psalm 32:8 - “I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go and I will guard you with my eye.”
Shatta Wale added that he believes he has a covenant with God and promised him, he was going to mention him in his songs, adding that he was going to build churches for God.
“I believe I have a covenant to God and I made a promise to God. Me changing my name from Bandana to Shatta I was going to mention his name in my songs and anything I do I have to mention his name to spread his word across and I’m waiting to get that huge money I have to get to build churches for people to know God,” the "Mahama Paper" singer said.
