Mother of dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah, known in Showbiz as Shatta Wale has threatened to deal with prophets who spell doom for her son, if she visits her hometown in the Volta region.
Elsie Evelyn Avemegah who hails from the Anlo tribe in the Volta region’s comment comes after Prophet E. K. Mensah of the Christ Vision Prayer Ministry prophesied that his son will die before July 2018 if he does not repent.
In a Facebook Live video, mother of the dancehall artiste was seen sitting in his son’s studio lambasting the ‘doom’ prophets causing fear and panic in the life of her son and his followers’.
She fumed; “this whole issue of pastors prophesying death on my son is too scary. These pastors have not had any death revelations regarding any member of their families other than people’s children. I won’t take any action here in Accra. I will soon travel to my hometown.
The way I am very serious about this issue, I won’t discuss anything here in Accra anymore. I am 100% Anlo woman and I carried Shatta Wale in my womb for 13months.
What haven't musicians done before? Even when Bob Marley was living in Jamaica the sort of lifestyle he put up was not easy. So what have my son done in this country that you people have’nt seen before? He has been blessed. The boy has been blessed with music.
If I reveal to you the one who circumcised him, you’ll realize that he has been blessed with music. What is wrong with you Prophets? Has he stolen from anyone? Has he come to record in anybody’s studio or begged anyone for a plane ticket?
I will travel to the Volta region for my son’s sake, I’m an Anlo woman
In the book of Deuteronomy, Bal’s prophets contended with God’s prophets together with the Israelites so I will call on my God to fight for me.
I want to tell you people that if go to the Volta region to display my culture, my son will be there with me and you will see what will happen.
God has given me this son and you people are disturbing him.
For him to go and see the president, it’s not the first time. He is the grandson of Mildred Ankrah, the former wife of General Ankrah, the first lady.
So is it the President he hasn’t seen before? Or the flagstaff house he’s never been to?
Nobody should mess with Shatta because it wasn’t easy giving birth to him.
My son has passed through the hands of a lot of prominent people. It was Gloria Akuffo who carried Shatta during his christening. General Kotoka who was named after our International airport was his grandfather’’.
