'I'm better than Kuami Eugene' comment without malice - Mr Drew clarifies

‘Gimme Love’ singer, Andrew Otoo, known in showbiz as, Mr Drew has explained that he never meant to disrespect Kuami Eugene or his fans when he said he was better than the Angela hitmaker.

According to the budding musician, his comments was in response to a question asked by the host of Daybreak Hitz, Andy Dosty.

He said Andy Dosty asked him if he has ever heard on the news that he was better than Kuami Eugene and he answered in the affirmative, recalling what an interviewer at Onua FM told him.

He added that the presenter further asked for his personal opinion on the issue.

“Even before I said anything I told him that I respect Kuami Eugene a lot and I think he’s up there and he’s doing great but when it comes to me I feel like I am better. That was what I said,” Mr Drew explained to GhanaWeb.

Mr Drew who was not happy about how his Hitz FM interview was carried by some sections of the media apologised to his colleague and added that he (Kuame Eugene) is doing great with his style and brand.

“Not to disrespect anybody but I was trying to acknowledge him and also prove that in my mind, I think I’m better. We are all in different lanes, we are doing our thing and not a competition,” the Highly Spiritual signee emphasized.
