Mujahid Ahmed Bello, popularly known as Fancy Gadam has expressed dissatisfaction at not winning ‘Best Collaboration of the Year’ at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

On AM Show on the Joy News channel Monday, Gadam said ‘’Total cheat’’ should have been adjudged ‘Best Collaboration’ as he worked hard with Sarkodie to release the hit song.

‘’Myself and my team, we were expecting to win Best Collaboration at this year’s VGMA’s because looking at the whole structure, it was between the North and South. Sarkodie is from the south and everybody knows that I’m from the North.

‘’The song was all over so I was expecting that it should have been part of the nomination. That’s the only place I got a little bit disappointed’’. The Northern Region based musician said.

Meanwhile, scores of ‘Patapaa fans’ have accused VGMA organisers of cheating their man out of the ‘Most Popular Song of the year’ award.

Patapaa himself stormed out of the auditorium after the award went in favour of Fancy Gadam, later claiming he was totally cheated.

Reports say, Fancy Gadam picked up the ‘Most Popular Song’ award with 88,000 votes, beating the closest contender who came with 10,000 votes.

Head of Communication at Charterhouse, George Quaye has also dismissed claims that organisers of this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) were financially induced in the award of the Most Popular Song of the Year category.
