There have been several appeals from several quarters calling on Choirmaster to rejoin his former group, Praye in order to produce songs like they used to in previous years.

However, actress Beverly Afaglo has reacted to comments that she is against her husband’s reuniting with the hiplife group Praye.

According to her, she played her role as a wife convincing her husband on the need to rejoin the group but he kept giving her reasons until he finally agreed to go back to the group because of her persistent advise.

Afaglo disclosed that her husband told her, he is rejoining the group because of the countless criticisms against her.

Choir Master who is believed to have been the heart of the group has always given several reasons why he cannot join the group although it appears they need him to complement their efforts.

“I didn’t prevent my husband from joining the Praye group again. A lot of people have actually called me that it would be great for them to be back, they’re going to make more money so I actually convinced about it. I told him to go back to the group but he always gave me reasons why he doesn’t want to go back.

“I think the right time came for him to join the group. He felt sorry for me because of the numerous insults targeted at me. I was surprised people thought I was the one controlling my husband. When he took the decision to rejoin the group, he told me, I did it for you.” Beverly Afaglo Baah to Mikki Osei Berko on After Hours on TV3.

The hiplife trio, Praye, announced a comeback and performed together for the first time since they broke up in 2014 at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMas).

The group, made up of Kente (Praye Tenten), Cartel Big J (Praye Tietia) and Choirmaster (Praye Honeho), mounted the stage to thrill music fans to their old hit songs.

The atmosphere was filled with nostalgia and excitement as they sang several songs amidst charged performance.

“Are you happy we are back?” the group asked on stage on Saturday.

Praye was born in 2004 after they emerged winners of the maiden edition of the Nescafé African Revelations talent hunt.

They produced hit songs such as ‘Shordy,’ ‘Angelina,’ ‘Jacket’, ‘Wodin’, among others.

In 2014, the members of the group went their separate ways but two of them (Tintin and Tiatia) came back later to keep the group.

After the break, Choirmaster has released songs like ‘Catwalk,’ ‘Ghana’s Most Beautiful’, ‘Pull Him Down’ and ‘Double Up’, while the other two have also done their individual and joint projects.

But their solo careers never made impact to the level of what they did as a group, hence the decision to reunite.

They are currently expected to release some new songs for their fans.
