Contrary to media reports that suggest that Ghanaian comic actor and musician Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin has being paid a hefty sum of money to join the campaign train of the biggest opposition in Ghana’s politics, the New Patriotic Party, the actor has described such reports as a pure fabrication and untrue.

The actor who sounded worried in an exclusive interview with NY DJ for www.nydjlive.com disclosed he’s not taken any money from any political and just like he has said in several interviews, he would not endorse or campaign for any political party.

“I have been calling on celebrities to be an agent of peace in this year’s election and just like I have said in various interviews, I’m not ready to endorse any political party. I will vote but won’t endorse or campaign for anyone.” he said.

Earlier, publications flew around the internet stating the actor had finally accepted to join a campaign although the sources as so unclear.

The post said, “Some great men in the NPP team had a meeting with Lil Win on agreeing to campaign for Nana Akuffo Addo. Initially Lil Win was acting tough as always but after offering him a great package, he had no other option than to sign their contract.

You see, the money given to Lil Win is more than the amount any musician or actor in Ghana has taken for a political affiliation. They gave Lil Win that huge money because they think and believe that, with Lil Win on their side, Ghana will give them the power to lead the nation.”
