Bill Asamoah and Maame Serwaa
Actor Bill Asamoah has denied allegations of having an affair with Kumawood youngster Maame Serwaa.
It has been rumoured that the two are secretly dating.
But speaking to Naa Kloddey Odonkor on Ultimate fm’s Brunch, Bill Asamoah wondered why people connect him with someone he regards as a daughter.
Bill burst into laughter when asked by the host whether he was having an affair with Maame Serwaa, he replied “I am laughing because I am surprised you are asking this same question”.
The award wining actor revealed that he is very close not only to the young actress but to her family as well because of the long and good relationship he has developed with her mum.
The Ashanti regional president of the Ghana Actors Guild says, he counsels Serwaah all the time to place priority on her education.
He further revealed that, all these rumours stem from a movie (Ma So Awaree) they acted together, where the little girl played a role of a husband snatcher at a tender age.
However, he stated categorically that he has never and will never have an affair with a girl he sees as a daughter and that the movie was hyped to generate revenue.
“Maame Serwaah am very close to her, not her as in person but to the family, anytime am on location I personally take care of her as a little daughter if the mother is not around. I have known her since her acting life, her mom was our caterer so we have worked with the mother close to 15 years.
“So you can imagine what I’m talking about. She came into the industry when she was a little girl and she’s been with us all these years, she listens to me when I advice her often, I do advice her everyday,” he explained.
