Celebrated gospel musician, Elder Francis Agyei, has said he is not in gospel music because of the monetary gains.

The musician with 10 albums to his credit told Prince Kwesi Dadzie on GH Entertainment on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM that, although he will enjoy the profits that may come from his investment he puts into his music, his focus to win souls for God’s kingdom.

Elder Francis Agyei said his calling into gospel music was orchestrated by God and confirmed by some anointed men of God who took him through serious training.

He said, "God called me to spread his word and increase his kingdom through gospel music. It is not for profit per say but because I invest in my work, I expect to make profit but that is not my main focus. If I invest and I make profit, I will be glad and that is why I have employed a manager but my music is for kingdom work.’’

Elder Francis Agyei has to his credit 50 songs done in English and other African languages.

He’s known for songs like ‘Metwere obotan,’ ‘God you’re so Good’, ‘Shake the devil off’ and ‘Akode Biara’. Francis started his music career more than two decades ago.

He is currently out with ‘Ilona’ and set for release on December 16, 2018, also features 2017 VGMA Artiste of the Year, Joe Mettle on a song titled ‘He’s alive.’

He also has another song with music producer and singer Nacee. Producers on the album include Osei of Groove House Studios, Shadrack Yawson and Nacee.

The Pentecostal Praise and Worship leader, Elder Francis Agyei as signed a new five-year contract with Media Excel Productions.
