I’m proud of Owusu Bempah’s wife for drinking Akpeteshie - Captain Planet

The leader of celebrated music group 4X4; Captain Planet has congratulated the newest wife of Rev.Owusu Bempah, Abena Animah for allegedly drinking Akpeteshie.

Akpeteshie’, is a Ghanaian produced distilling palm wine or sugar cane. Other names for this drink include VC10 and apio.

A video of the General Overseer of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah’s wife, Abena Animah allegedly taking shots of the locally brewed gin, akpeteshie before her wedding ceremony has been leaked on social media.

The 14 seconds video which has sparked controversy on Facebook captures the bride-to-be asking another lady to pour her a drink stored in a container after the lady had already had her own share.

The other lady with undisclosed identity brought out a cup and poured some of the drink purported to be akpeteshie and asked the Pastor’s wife, “Is it OK?”

She retorted, “No add some more” to the amazement of other women in the room who exclaimed, “Eeeiii Osofo Maame!”

Speaking in an exclusive interview from the UK with Razzonline.com, Captain Planet who is currently out with his newest hit song titled ‘Apketeshie congratulated Abena Animah for drinking the locally manufactured gin:

“I’m proud of the Woman…Oh Yes I’m really proud of her for consuming made in Ghana Product,”Captain Planet quipped

Prior to the release of ‘ Akpeteshie’, Razzonline.com reported the likelihood of the Food and Drug Authority placing a ban on the song with regards to the lyrical content.

Produced by BeatBoss Tims, Mix, Mastered by Mix Master Garzy and delivered in Hi-life vein, Captain Planet expressed his misgivings as to how ‘Akpeteshie’ is being underrated simply because it is locally manufactured here in Ghana.

Captain Planet, who at the just ended unveiling of the nominees for the 2018 Vodafone Ghana music awards got 5 nominations, advised that children below 18 should not be allowed to drink the spirit by advocating that Ghanaians should patronize the spirit, but drink it responsibly.

Prophet Isaac Owusu Bempah got married to Abena Animah in a private ceremony in Accra a week ago.
