Nigerian disc jockey and musician Florence Otedola popularly known by her stage name DJ Cuppy, has said no amount of mockery or trolling will make her ashamed of her slightly-yellowed teeth.
This was after she was called out by a man on Twitter for having a yellow teeth. According to the Twitter user, the daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola should contact her dentist for teeth whitening procedure.
“Dear DJ Cuppy, I don’t mean to be rude, but teeth whitening procedure can never cost up to 1million Naira,” he tweeted.
But opening up about the criticism on her new vlog, DJ Cuppy said she was very proud of her teeth and would never get a procedure to whiten it.
“I need to talk to you about something on Twitter. Some guy has said that I have yellow teeth. Listen, I’m sorry if I’m not perfect and no I’m not going to whiten my teeth,” she said.
“There is just no need for that. We need to stop this body-shaming, it’s so ridiculous… My teeth is not going to solve any issues. I don’t think my teeth are that yellow. Take me as I am.”
