Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer and songwriter Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie better known by his stage name Patoranking says he is single is searching.
He said this in an interview with Berla Mundi and Sammy Forson on Route 919 on Live 91.9 FM.
“I am single and searching, I mean Patoranking is single and searching, “he said.
According to the singer, though he is single and searching, he will not settle for anything in skirts.
“ I am single yes but I am looking for someone who goes beyond the physical look. I want someone with a good character. I am not moved by just anything, I want something that will last long. I mean if I attend a fashion show, I will meet ladies who are more beautiful than my woman and so it is your character that will distinguish you from the others,” he said.
He added that, he will not settle with someone he is in the same business with, his partner should be from a different world though chemistry and compatibility between them is paramount to him.
Patoranking, who is a descent of Ebonyi, started his musical career doing underground collaborations with artists such as XProject, Konga, Slam and Reggie Rockstone.
He signed a record deal with K-Solo’s Igberaga Records in 2010, releasing “Up in D Club” under the outfit. Patoranking became a protégé of Dem Mama Records after collaborating with Timaya on his song “Alubarika”.
In February 2014, he signed a record deal with Foston Musik and released “Girlie O”, a single that put him in the limelight. On 9 February 2015, Patoranking announced via Instagram that he signed a distribution deal with VP Records.
