Vociferous Ghanaian actress well known for her roles in Kumawood movies, Mercy Asiedu has opined that the Public Relations officer of the Film Producers’ Association of Ghana (FIPAG), Michael Kwaku Ola was either satisfied or drunk whilst penning the recent calls for the building of a pornographic movie industry in Ghana.
Speaking on the Founders’ day holiday edition of Adom TV’s evening news where she doubled as an anchor, Mercy Asiedu explained no producer was willing to shoot pornography in Ghana and had no idea where the PRO got his facts from.
“I don’t know how he came about that thing, maybe he was satisfied or drunk when he said that…” she said.
Joined by Kobi Rana and Prince David Osei who presented various segments on the evening news, Mercy Asiedu expressed her frustration and disclosed she would mount a demonstration against any film producer who takes on that initiative.
Few days ago, the Public Relations officer of the Film Producers’ Association of Ghana in a written article which had parts stating;
“………..I applaud Kobby Rana for his movie #THE SEXTAPE. it should mark the beginning of the porn industry in Ghana. Let’s be bold and do what is right as entertainers……….
