Few hours after the 35th edition of the British Phonographic Industry’s annual pop music awards popularly known as Brits came to an end at The O2 Arena in London, one of the voices of urban radio station Capital Xtra in the United Kingdom, DJ Abrantee registered his surprise that Ghanaian Afrobeats artist Fuse ODG could not secure a nomination.

In a series of tweets, the DJ who is well known for his influence among the African community and inclusion in the Afrobeats movement explained Fuse ODG deserved a nomination not just because of the massive airplay he had throughout the UK but for the fact that he had more than 3 hit songs making it to the top 40 singles in the UK.

DJ Abrantee also ruled out perceptions that he was fighting for Fuse ODG because of his involvement in the Afrobeats movement. He believed the numbers were evidence enough to warrant Fuse ODG a nomination.

Fuse ODG since he burst unto the music charts with Azonto has never looked back and continue to be a toast of many music loving fans across the continent.
