Ghanaian reggae/dancehall artiste , Charles Nii Armah Mensah who is famously known as Shatta Wale has said that he is the only Ghanaian artiste that promotes the Ghanaian culture.
According to the ‘ Gringo’ hit maker he mostly use Ghanaian words or ‘jargons’ in his songs which are mostly forgotten or neglected by Ghanaians .
He proceeded by saying that most of his songs promote the Ghana culture as he tries to make his songs easy for Ghanaians to sing along .
He cited ‘ayoo’ song as an example by saying that the chorus is a Ghanaian word and that makes Ghanaians easily relate to.
He made this assertion in an interview on Hitz Fm on Tuesday 4th September .
Shatta Wale took the platform to plead with Nana Akufo-Addo, the President of the land to change the name of the country from Ghana to Gold Coast ( former name ) .
