Sometimes people within the creative arts industry complain about how it's difficult getting a breakthrough in the music scene especially when you are living outside Accra.
Fancy Gadam who won both VGMA new artiste of the year and most popular song of the year categories has revealed the difficulty in trying to promote a song in Ghana.
"It's not easy to promote a song for nationwide recognition, but for you to do that you need to come to Accra since most of our media houses with nationwide viewers are stationed in Accra".
Fancy Gadam during a celebrity interview with Amansan Krakye of Radio Central fame in Cape Coast was asked if it will be possible for a northern based artiste to make VGMA breakthrough, he said
"It will not be easy though for a northern based musician to win the VGMA Artiste of the year award, but I'm full of surprises and I can assure you I'm the only person who can win that award".
He went on further to say
"Looking at how i won my previous awards at the VGMA coupled with my recent award at the Ghana Entertainment Awards in the USA where I beat some popular artistes to win the ultimate award, I believe I can do it".
Fancy Gadam is currently embarking on a media tour in Accra to promote his recently released song titled '3b3y3 yie' which means it shall be well.
