One of Ghana’s favourite high-life acts, K.K. Fosu, says his talent in writing songs and performing with live band is unmatched by any of his contemporaries in the music industry in the country.

“In Ghana, no highlife artiste can perform better than me when it comes to live band music and songwriting,” he told Onua FM’s Christian Agyei Frimpong in Twi Friday on the station’s entertainment show, Anigye Mmre.

He claimed that all the songs he has written in his musical career spanning over a decade are the best and surpasses all.

KK Fosu became a household name in the country in the early 2000’s when he came into the scene with great tracks that enjoyed massive airplay.

He said it was unfortunate that Ghanaians do not support their own which he says affect musicians to some extent.

According to him, “some musicians don’t know the direction to go, all because the Ghana music industry is hungry.”

Touching on the country’s flagship music awards organized by Charter House Productions, K.K. Fosu condemned how Ghana Music Awards are manipulated to favour some artistes.

“The way people like Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), Abraham Ohene Djan and the rest of the board members of the Music Awards have made Ghana music is very dirty,” he said, alleging that winners are changed backstage on the night of the awards.

Meanwhile, he revealed he would be releasing his song titled “I’m Back,” which features Sarkodie and another song featuring dancehall act, Samini.
