Recently Vicky Zuga, a Ghanaian actress has been in the tabloids for various reasons including her fatal accident and other related issues.
Known as a beauty in the Ghanaian movie industry, the actress took her turn on the Ntoatoa Show to share more light on her accident and also clarify reports by a section of the media that she said there are enemies in the movie industry who want her downfall.
In an interview with the Notatoahene the host of the Ntoatoa show on GHONE, the Ghallywood actress said she was driving home from a movie shot between the hours of 1:30am to 2am when the accident occurred.
“As if something was talking to everyone on set that day, they (colleagues) never wanted me to leave the set but I insisted on leaving”.
Vicky Zuga said in her bid to get home early, she took a short cut from Tetteh Quashie to GIMPA. Whiles negotiating a curve few meters after Tulip In junction, she saw a white KIA truck with only one light carrying a kiosk (container) approaching on a tough speed.
“Because of the narrow nature of the road, I slowed down thinking that the KIA driver will be sensible enough to also slow down so that we can manage the narrow road but he didn’t so the container hit the wind screen of my car”.
Unfortunately, the driver of the KIA truck left her to her fate. She was saved by a Good Samaritan who heard her screaming for help.
When asked if she said God has protected her from enemies in the movie industry, the Ghallywood actress said she has been misquoted.
“That is why I don’t blame most of my colleagues who don’t grant interviews”.
She added that, she recalls saying that when you are thinking of yourself, someone is seriously working against you or going length to occupy your position.
“I wasn’t referring to me. I was generalizing the whole thing”.
She continued by saying that on Sunday three days before the accident, there was a revelation in her church that she will be involved in an accident within the week therefore she should pray.
“Regardless of everything that I do, I am very spiritual so every Tuesday I DO STUFF, so that Tuesday before the accident I DID MY STUFF”.
When asked the kind of ‘stuff’ she does every Tuesdays, Vicky said she believes in capital GOD not small god.
“The accident was supposed to take my life but because of the ‘stuff’ I did, I am alive. Even on my way here (Ntoatoa Studio), a truck hit the side of the car I was driving in”.
In her final words, Vicky Zuga said she is very humble and never knew that Ghanaians loved her so much. She believes that the love shown her by Ghanaian fans was the reason why she recovered so quickly.
