I met my husband Adekunle Gold on Facebook — Simi

Nigerian singer Simi has revealed she first met her husband Adekunle Gold on social networking site, Facebook.

According Simi in an interview with Bolanle on Ndani TV, her husband slid into her DM but she didn’t respond. She said at that time she was doing only gospel music and wasn’t a star.

“He was chasing me all over on Facebook and everything. When I doing gospel music, he used to listen to my songs. You know he knew my songs and so he reached out to me on Facebook. I didn’t know him at the time. I didn’t respond either,” she said.

She said when they first met in person at a concert, he was then a graphic designer and not a musician. Their relationship evolved from friendship to romantic partners

Simi and Adekunle got married early this year in a private wedding reportedly attended by 300 guests.
