Renowned Ghanaian disc jockey, DJ Vyrusky has debunked rumours suggesting a split between him and popular Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale.

In an interview with TV3, DJ Vyrusky, real name Kofi Amoako clarified that he has remained committed to the Shatta Movement, adding that his bond with Shatta Wale remains unbroken.

He shared a tale about his first time seeing Shatta Wale perform on stage and how it made him admire the star.

He said: "It's been a while since I played for him, but I never said anywhere that I stopped playing for Shatta. Shatta is still my guy.

"Before I started playing for Shatta Wale, I was a believer. The first day I saw Charles Nii Armah Mensah perform at the stadium, I wasn't working with him then. I got goosebumps. I was like, 'Who is that guy?'"

DJ Vyrusky explained that his busy schedule sometimes keeps him away from Shatta Wale and assured fans that his allegiance to the Shatta Movement brand remains firm.

"So I've never stopped believing in the brand Shatta Wale. Sometimes, I'm not around because I work for KiDi, Kuami Eugene, and other artistes from Lynx. Most of the time, I'm not around. So it's been a while. But I'm still for life," he said.
