'I rent out or sell my gowns after use' – Nana Akua Addo

Ghanaian fashion icon, Nana Akua Addo, has revealed her strategy for handling the glamorous gowns she wears to Red Carpet events.

According to her, she rents them out after wearing them once.

Addo explains that after wearing a gown once, she offers it up for rent or sale to interested individuals. However, she emphasizes that she only rents out the gowns if the price offered is satisfactory and deemed worthwhile.

"I wear my gowns once, and afterward, people DM for their weddings, either looking to rent or buy them. If the offer is right, I accept it and pass the gown along," she explained to BBC Pidgin.

During this year's AMVCA in Nigeria, Addo made headlines with a gown she estimated cost $6000.

Despite the high price tag, she maintains a pragmatic approach to fashion, indicating that she doesn't overspend to look good.

She carefully selects the Red Carpet events she attends, ensuring she makes impactful appearances without breaking the bank.
