Gospel singer Celestine Donkor has said she will not take back her comment that the Ghanaian media, ask one way questions.
Donkor said when she performs outside, foreign journalists ask her deep questions which let her think on her feet but Ghanaian reporters are exactly the opposite.
The ‘Okronkronhene’ hitmaker said Ghanaian press is so bad that sometimes she can predict what they’ll be asking.
“You can’t put on a night makeup at day and you can’t put on dinner wear in the day. It’s basically lack of knowledge to think you’ve dressed so wonderfully but you look funny. I will not blame those who do that because they do not know, so for me I still stand by my words,” she told Kojo Preko Dankwa on Kasapa Entertainment on Kasapa FM.
Celestine Donkor believes she has spirituality graduated to the next level of her music career after renowned American gospel singer and songwriter, Ron Kenoly, flew to Steve Crown’s maiden edition of “Nations Will Rise & Sing “concert in Nigeria, laid his hands showering abundant blessing on her and other gospel artists billed to perform.
In an Interview with Peace FM’s Sammy Kumah(Sammy Kay), Celestine Donkor said, she feels Ghanaian journalists ask one way questions because the questions she was asked by an international media outfit after an electrifying performance on stage made her think very deep.
“I was approached by an international media outfit after I performed on stage and the questions that were posed to me were very deep and detailed, their questions didn’t tone one particular direction, it kept me thinking very deep, they didn’t ask me questions like how did I start my career…” Mrs. Donkor who performed her yet to be released single featuring Steve Crown entitled “Your Big” also added that; “Sometimes I go for an interview and am able to predict questions that I will be asked, this is because Ghanaian Journalists ask one way questions and it doesn’t bring out the best in the interviewee”, she stated.
