Veteran Musician, Yaw Sarpong says he is facing hard times during the Coronavirus season because he has taken advanced payment for some events which could not come on.
Parts of Ghana was on partial lockdown to enable the government engage in contact tracing and proffer better measures to help in containing the virus.
The country although have lifted the partial lockdown, have still imposed restrictions on public gatherings and other social events.
This seem to have created problems for Yaw Sarpong and his Asomafo Group because they have taken monies to perform at funerals and other engagements.
Speaking to Graphic Showbiz, the prolific singer said “As I speak to you, about four people have made advance payments to me for their events so what am I supposed to do?”
“I have a very big funeral to perform at on May 9 so I am praying that things would have normalized by then so we can go ahead and perform.”
“For those whose money I have taken in advance and the events didn’t come off, I don’t really know what I am going to do now. “It is a very difficult situation for me. I just hope everything comes back to normal so we can go about our businesses.”
