I used to be a drunkard and a smoker prior to my calling by God - Kumchacha

The outspoken Founder and Leader of Heaven's Gate Ministries Kumchacha has stated that, prior to his calling to the service of God, he was an ardent smoker of cannabis and a heavy drunkard, however it took divine intervention for him to be delivered.

Speaking on Accra based radio station Joy FM, he born Nicholas Osei added that, it would be a shame for him, who is seen by his congregants as a role model to engage in smoking and drinking.

He disclosed that, he used to steal items entrusted in his care by people and that, God needed someone like himself to call people towards the divine kingdom.

He said, “I used to smoke weed and drink a lot. But I have stopped smoking because I am a man of God who has been called to work for the Lord”, adding that divine intervention turned him away from being a gangster.

He says it would have been disastrous and disheartening for him to continue smoking since many people, especially his church members consider him a role model.

He also told Lexis that it was divine intervention that changed him from being a gangster to a man of God.

“I was a gangster. I trained many boys in that enterprise. My stealing exploits forced people to entrust their farms in my care. It is true God needs someone like me to win souls for his kingdom,” he explained.
