Sound Engineer and Ghanaian Highlife musician, Voltage has confessed he's been attacking the executive of Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) falsely due to lack of information.
The musician was dragged before the Disciplinary Committee over some disparaging comments he made about GHAMRO recently.
Voltage has supported her colleague musician Akosua Ajapong over corruption and alleged misappropriation of funds at GHAMRO.
But speaking to Prince Kwesi Dadzie on GH Entertainment on Saturday, he alluded to the fact that, he has been wrong on some comments and grievances he has harboured.
He wondered why Akosua Ajapong has refused to honour her invitation over her allegations and confrontations she’s had with the current leadership of GHAMRO.
Voltage said his own findings have revealed some individuals who are angered because of their inability to win elections, are bent on painting the current administration bad in order to satisfy their own selfish interest.
To him, he is convinced some of the musicians are not in support of any new policies and plans by GHAMRO to help promote the welfare of members.
He described the meeting as productive and has called on his colleague members to desist from attacking GHAMRO in the media and approach leadership to have an insight into activities of the organisation.
‘’If there is division, GHAMRO will not develop. If GHAMRO is divided, musicians would suffer and so I am appealing to members to come forward and let us help shape GHAMRO. The media war will not help.’’
‘’I will no longer attack GHAMRO again. I have been irrational in the past but after meeting with leadership of GHAMRO, I have changed my mind and I am now interested in helping GHAMRO progress,’’ he concluded.
