I’ve done marijuana in the past but don’t do it anymore – K K Fosu

Highlife great Kaakyire Kwame Fosu known in showbiz as K K Fosu disclosed on Saturday during an interview with Kojo Preko Dankwa on Kasapa Entertainment, that he has tried marijuana several times in his life.

“I do take in alcohol and my favourite is ‘Akpeteshie’ but the only high drug I ever did was marijuana and that was a long time ago but I don’t do it anymore.”

The highlife artiste who was not perturb about a recent comment which angered several Ghanaian musicians reiterated that it is not only musicians who find themselves doing drugs but some leaders of our country and other officials do so.

“The fact that we don’t see them doing doesn’t mean it’s not happening. I’ve been in this game for long and I know the route. One thing we have to bear in mind is that, it;s not only musicians who do drugs but actors, journalist, leaders of our dear country and among others do so.”

He also stated that the fact that he likes local alcohol (Akpeteshie) doesn’t make him an addict, adding that individuals must limit the in take of alcohol because it’s the biggest drug which is affecting health which people don’t pay attention to.

“I love Akpeteshie because it’s locally made and pure. There are no chemicals in it but I wouldn’t promote drugs in take. I needed to stop because I was advised and more over it wasn’t good for my health. I’m a family man now, I’ve kids and I have to focus on their future in order for them to have a better life.”

Talking about his highlife music, K K Fosu eulogised legend sound engineer Hammer for making an impact on his music career when he groomed him.

K K Fosu is currently promoting his new single ‘Yenko Da’ which features singer Nero X.
