Self-acclaimed empress of Dancehall music, AK Songstress, says she no longer fancies doing free styles because she has gone past that level.
Though she later did a few lines, she was reluctant to rap on the unknown beat. Interacting with Nana Kwadwo Addo on 3FM’s Showbiz 927 on Thursday, AK Songstress born Akosua Kwakye also said she has gotten over her beefing days with the likes of Kaakie.
No wonder she is inviting the Dancehall queen to the launch of her maiden album on Saturday. Titled ‘History’, the 19-track video album produced by Paradise Entertainment will be launched at the Hortical Nite Club in Accra.
The album will feature established reggae artistes such as Patoranking, Sizzla Kalonji and Zeal of VVIP fame. “I see [the album] more like the beginning of something big for me,” the award-winning artiste said.
Among the songs on the new album will be Ghetto Crime featuring Sizzla.
