Former HIV/AIDS ambassador, Joyce Dzidzor Mensah has stated that she’s has never had any amorous relationship with ex President John Mahama.
She got tongues wagging after she posted a half naked picture of herself showing her breast on Facebook, accusing the Ex President and his wife of neglect when she needed them most.
“I have accepted I contribute to whatever am going through now. But John Dramani Mahama do you think you will also have piece of mind for what you and your wife have done to me? No. A woman does not show her nakedness for no reason. You have turned deaf ears all this year’s as if you are unaware of the injustice you people have done to me. The poor has no justice in any part of the world. But even in my poor state, I will fight till I die Just wait for what will unfold soon” She wrote on her facebook
That picture led to speculations among a section of the public who thought Mr Mahama might have jilted her after, after having his way.
But speaking to sit-in-host Akwasi Nsiah on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa fm Friday, the actress cum musician stated categorically that she’s never dated the former first gentleman of the land.
“I’ve never dated ex President Mahama. I’ve met him only once when I and my then colleague HIV/AIDS Ambassadors had gathered for a programme. I think at the time he was then sitting Vice President, I never went close to him and has never spoken to him so how can I be dating him. I don’t have his telephone number, so why should people even think of those issues.”
Joyce Dzidzor Mensah said she was ignored by former President John Mahama when the AIDS Commission terminated her contract, upon revelation that she wasn’t HIV positive.
According to her, she wrote several letters to President Mahama and his wife Lordina, just for them to help her resolve the impasse between her and the commission but to no avail.
She is disappointed in Mr. Mahama who she says could have used his office as president of the republic to seek justice for her. Joyce believes she was unfairly treated by the commission despite her contribution to the wellbeing of HIV patients.
The 31 year old ex AIDS ambassador said life after being the AIDS ambassador has been difficult and “painful”.
“I’m in pain because of the way I am treated by Ghanaians, the way I’ve been treated by the Ghana AIDS commission`s former boss and when I cried to former president Mahama and he also didn’t respond to me. I am still going through a lot of trauma” she said.
Ms Mensah added that she is unable to venture into any profitable business as she is constantly being stigmatized by Ghanaian.
“People tell me I have to move on, because people lose their jobs and they move on. Recently people have lost their jobs in the bank but people have move on so why don’t I move on? It’s not easy to move on. This is a crucial issue, this issue has affected me” he said
