Gospel musician Empress Gifty has revealed that she has never followed up on her royalties from the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) since the beginning of her music career.

GHAMRO is the royalties collection agency in Ghana that represents the rights of music copyright holders, but many musicians are dissatisfied with the meager amounts they receive.

In an interview on Onua FM, Empress Gifty mentioned that her manager receives her royalties whenever GHAMRO reaches out to make payments, but she has never pursued the matter herself.

She explained that she doesn’t stress over it because she knows her hard work and investment warrant her due compensation.

“My royalties go to my manager, Steven Akujah. But I have never followed up on my royalties. I believe that when you do your work well and know your worth, you won’t stress yourself over such issues.

"The day the system works, we will all follow up. Although I don’t focus my energy on that, I know I deserve it because everything I receive in royalties is due to my hard work and financial investment,” she disclosed.
