Ghanaian Gospel music icon, Nacee, has revealed that he recently completed a campaign song for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the country's primary opposition party, ahead of the upcoming general elections in December.

In an interview on Angel TV, Nacee confirmed that he crafted the NDC's hit campaign tracks in 2016 and 2020, including the viral "Onaapo."

He disclosed that he was employed by the NDC in 2022 to create a new song, which he has now delivered to the party's chairman, Asiedu Nketiah.

Regarding the song's release date, Nacee mentioned that it is up to the party to decide when to release it, and he is currently awaiting their decision.

"When I am done with my part, I submit it to them after which they will go through to see what they will also do. At the right time, they release it and we continue. I am making four songs this year, they sometimes demand six since the various songs have different purposes they serve," he elaborated.

Nacee also disclosed that he receives direct calls from top NDC figures like former President John Mahama, Asiedu Nketia, and Mr. Julius Debrah, who seek his musical expertise for their campaign efforts.

“President Mahama himself calls to schedule a meeting. Whenever we meet, we do not only talk about music, but we also talk about other things, he sometimes expresses his ideas and expectations for the campaign song, after which I also go and think about it to deliver.

“Sometimes General Asiedu Nketia calls me, Honourable Julius Debrah also communicates with me", he said.
