Ghanaian rapper, Emmanuel Ato Quamina Amonoo popularly known as Quamina MP has revealed that he wants to become the number one gentleman of Ghana through active politics.
In an interview on SVTV Africa, The ‘Wiase Y3 D3’ hitmaker has revealed that, despite his love and passion for music, becoming the president of Ghana is his childhood dream. The budding rapper added dropping out of school due to financial challenges.
“Den naadey‘ Ghana Telecom but money no dey, ma poppy dey try but still, wey ma mommy dey go take loan den things to support but later ebi too much wey I feel say ano fit stress ma mommy like that, but I definitely go go back to school, I want to be President, so ago do doctorate course then after ago do some politics,” [sic] he said.
The unfortunate financial challenge was the beginning of Quamina MP’s music career and has unflinching support from his parents he further disclosed. My father uses my song as his phone ringtone but my mother despite, would still want me to pursue education.
“Oh yeah especially ma poppy, den times sef, ma poppy dey use my songs as en ringtone. Ma mommy di3 na she want make I go school,” [sic] he stated.
Quamina MP, who is currently promoting his new song ‘Amanfour Girls’ which features Medikalhas two (2) nominations in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards – VGMA in the Hiplife Song of the Year and New Artist Of The Year categories.
