The prosecution said the victim's mother reported the incident to the Ashaiman police who issued her with a medical report but the police could not arrest the accused because he left the area after the incident.

Police Chief Inspector Nutakor said Ayibi returned to Zenu on July 4, this year and about 2000 hours sent for the victim whom he locked up in his room forcing the victim's mother to search for her to no avail and reported to the police.

She said on July 10, at about 0400 hours the victim returned home to inform her mother that, the accused locked her up in his room and defiled her on four occasions, feeding her on rice, kenkey and biscuits.
