That the entertainment industry hardly ever waits for straying stars and veterans on sabbatical is incontrovertible - how long did they wait for actor, Saint Obi, singer, Sunny Neji, and in most recent times, D’banj? Legendary actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo, is grateful for an uncommon favour.

He talked about coming back to Nollywood after eight years and the worries he nursed secretly before his second chance at fame and fortune. He had said “Contrary to what a lot of you think and/ or believe, when it was time for me to return to my dreams, I was scared, worried, uncertain, had doubts, questions and fears but hey, I went to the rock that is higher than I (God). I went to Him in humility and sincerity…”

However, one of his fans shared a divergent view on his grand return: “Doesn’t make sense to me. He was in the industry for more than two decades before his sabbatical, his sermon would have been appropriate if he was joining the movie industry as a starter. That’s when his type of “Dreams” will make sense. He’s still marketable, that’s why it was easy for him to come back even bigger than he was when he left.”
