Bragging is strictly a hip-life culture so we can understand where Yaa Pono is coming from; boasting that no Ghanaian musician can match him in terms of the number of shows played in the year 2017.
The Tema-based rapper, in an interview with Showbiz927 host Kenneth Addo on 3FM 92.7, said he was booked for almost 300 shows with his popular Gbee Naabu song last year and that obviously makes him stand out.
The Amen hitmaker also shared his thoughts on the forthcoming Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, saying that he’s not bothered by the fact that he was not nominated under the VGMA best rapper category.
He stated that the situation will rather challenged to push harder and come out with songs that Ghanaians will jam onto them.
Yaa Pono believes that his Faster Than Gods will win Best Album of the Year together with the Best Rapper of the Year next year.
