I was sad on Mothers Day - Kumwood's Maame Serwaa

Almost a year into the mysterious death of Ghanaian teen-actress, Maame Serwaa real name Clara Benson lost her mother, Madam Rose Benson.

With Serwaa being the first person to always wish her mum on Mother’s Day every year, Maame Serwaa said she became very sad as she remembered her late mother.

Serwaa, always extols her mother, who she says – took care of her single-handedly but rarely offered any positive tribute to the mother, and she celebrates her on that memorable day.

Speaking exclusively to Dan Kwasi Prince of Dailyviewgh.com in celebration of Mothers’ Day, the young actress recounted her mother’s bravery during her hard birth.

“Mothers will do anything for their children and mothers are our superheroes so I always say a mother is a superwoman.

“The World has never known a better mother than you. Your struggle motivated me. Your pains inspired me. Your joy made me strong. Your zeal made me confident. Your personality tickled my inner being. The World has never known a better mother. She said

“I would like to wish my mother Rose Benson a Happy Mother’s Day and may her soul rest in peace.”

Rose Benson left behind three children – two boys and a girl. She played a vital role in the acting career of her only daughter, Maame Serwaa.
