I was starstruck when I saw Ofori Amponsah – Joey B reveals

Singer and rapper Joey B has confessed his love for high life singer, Ofori Amponsah.

The singer real name Darryl Paa Kwesi Bannerman-Martin mentioned in the conversation Zionfelix.net monitored that he has been borrowing lines of Ofori Amponsah‘s old hit songs because of the love he has for him and his music.

The ‘Tonga’ hit maker added that he samples his mentor’s songs because he thinks it is the right way of honoring the musician he has always loved.

Joey B further revealed that he was starstruck when he first met Ofori Amponsah real name Samuel Ofori Amponsah years back.

The 28-year-old hip-hop artiste disclosed that he was never fascinated when he first met American rapper and businessman, Shawn Corey Carter, known professionally as Jay-Z at Roc Nation in the USA after a show but the feeling was different when he had an encounter with the ‘Emmanuella’ hitmaker sometime past.

Joey B referred to Ofori Amponsah as his idol he never plays with because of his good works.

“He (Ofori Amponsah) is my idol. I had a show in New York and after it, we visited Roc Nation where Jay Z and I was never starstruck. I’ve seen a lot of celebrities but I was never starstruck but when I met Ofori Amponsah, I was fascinated. He tweeted at me in 2015 telling me he is proud of me on how I used Otolege and I was extremely proud of myself because of his praises.” he said.
