Captain of Ghana’s Senior National team, Asamoah Ghana has disclosed to GhanaWeb in an exclusive interview that he will continue to invest in the country to create more employment avenues for the youth.

The Black Star captain who recently launched an airline, this week opened a new pub in Osu, named the BJ’s (Baby Jet’s) Sports Bar.

The event which was attended by both Ghanaians and non-Ghanaians was another history in the making for the versatile footballer cum businessman.

The Bar, adding up to Gyan’s multi-investments in Ghana including, Paradise Pac Mineral Water, Run Energy Drink, Baby Jet Boxing Promotions, Baby Jet Band, JetLink is located just behind the Osu KFC branch on the Oxford Street and also comes furnished with a restaurant, a standard bar, executive lounge and other entertainment centers.

Speaking shortly after the unveiling of the bar, Asamoah Gyan told GhanaWeb that he was bent on creating more jobs for Ghanaians and is ever ready to invest in the country.

“As a citizen of Ghana we always set up businesses to create employment for the youth who are less privileged so that is what we are doing. I want to invest more in the country, especially for the youth so they can get something doing.

All these businesses are just my way of giving back to the society. I have got a lot of investments which has got a lot of employees who are also working and getting ends meet to cater for their families, so I am also doing what I can do to help my country,” Asamoah Gyan noted.

Present at the opening was Black Stars players Agyemang Badu, Afriyie Acquah, Emmanuel Boateng and the former vice president of the Ghana Football Association, George Afriyie. Notable celebrities in the entertainment industry who were also present at the opening were Episode and Article Wan together with Ghanaian’s trending millionaire Ibrah One.

On his part, the Chief Executive Officer for Phar Rangers, a Ghanaian football club owned by Asamoah Gyan, indicated that it was more profitable to invest in business than storing money in the bank.

“I’m a Ghanaian and so if I got something from the community I have to give it back by starting with a business because keeping money in the bank doesn’t make you a rich man."

When launched, the Baby Jet Airlines will create more business opportunities for Ghana and increase the rate of employment in the Aviation industry.
