Media personality and entertainment pundit Halifax Ansah-Addo has shared that he will not participate in the upcoming June 8 demonstration.

He noted that if it had been a month earlier, he would have led the charge due to the severity of the situation at the time.

In a live discussion on United Showbiz on UTV on May 25, 2024, Halifax remarked that although there has been some improvement in the power supply, more progress is needed.

He shared his personal experiences with intermittent power outages, stating that he still relies on generators for his home and office.

“It is their constitutional right to do what they want to, so I see nothing wrong with it. But I would not be going on June 8, if it had happened a month ago, I would be at the forefront, because it was intense then.

“It has become better now, but there is still room for improvement. I still experience power outages now and then, and I still buy petrol for generators for my home and office,” he stated.

He stated that power outages should not become the norm and that mediocrity in power supply should not be defended.

“People say that power outages are normal, power outages are not normal, let’s not defend mediocrity. We are surrounded by countries where light is constant. Issues do indeed happen but they shouldn’t be normalised,” he told MzGee, the host of the show.
